How to Book your rental:
Simply select your desired rental length using the drop down menu and add to your basket and checkout. Please email us the dates which you wish your rental to start on and we will ship to you via Royal Mail Special Delivery for delivery before 1PM on the day that your rental starts. Please note that if you will need the camera early in the morning then you are advised to start the rental period the day before.
For all first time rentals we will take a security deposit in addition to the cost of rental to cover the cost of the camera. This will be returned to your card once the unit has been returned to us safely and in good condition. The refund of your deposit is processed the same day as we receive your return and will take 3-5 days to show back on your card. Example you rent the camera for 1 day. We take initial payment for the rental. We then email you an invoice for the remainder of the list price of the camera. You return the camera to us without issues and we refund the deposit back to your card.
Existing customers will be subject to lesser security deposits of £850 per rental. Alternatively existing customers may opt to avail insurance for the rental which will cost in the region of £20 and be subject to £500 excess fee. If you opt to take out insurance then we will bill you after you have booked your rental for the cost of the insurance premium and the fully refundable £500 excess insurance charge. Once the camera is returned in satisfactory condition the £500 excess charge will be refunded back to your card.
We will email you a separate electronic invoice to pay the security deposit after you place your order. Your booking will only be confirmed once this payment has been completed.
For all rentals we require two forms of ID.
Passport or EU driving license and 1 of the following
Latest bank statement
Latest Utility bill
These must show the same address as your payment method and delivery address.
We use an ID verification service to verify the validity of all ID.
Please email your identification to us along with your required booking dates after placing your order.
What happens if you damage the camera during use?
If you return the camera to us with damage or missing items then we will deduct this from your security deposit. Damage will be evaluated by our independent authorised service centre and will be charged at the cost price.
We do allow for usual wear and tear but please treat the equipment as if it were your own. Minor scratches and nicks happen sometimes but it is our sole right to determine these matters and by placing an order you hereby accept our terms and conditions and agree to adhere to the findings of our service centre.
Returns must be sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery or a signed and tracked courier service with appropriate insurance. You are responsible for the goods until we have received them back. We cannot be held liable for any loss in transit.
Large aperture, F3.5, circular fisheye lens with close up capability and optimised for used with digital SLR cameras.
This fisheye lens produces circular images with an angle of view of 180° when attached to a full-frame digital or 35mm film SLR camera. It has a fast maximum aperture of F3.5 and a minimum focusing distance of 13.5cm. Sigma’s super multi-layer coating and Special Low Dispersion (SLD) glass provide excellent image quality for digital and film SLR cameras. The special fisheye design allows maximum creative expression.
The world's only 8mm lens equipped with auto-focus
This fisheye lens incorporates an auto focus system to achieve accurate focusing that might be difficult through the camera's viewfinder due to the extremely large depth of field.
F3.5 maximum aperture
This lens is perfectly suited for low light conditions, indoors or at dusk.
This circular fisheye lens has a minimum focusing distance of 13.5cm and a maximum magnification of 1:4.6 making it particularly useful for close-up photography.
Excellent optical performance
Special Low Dispersion (SLD) glass offer effective compensation of colour aberration.
Reduction of flare and ghosting
Sigma’s super multi-layer lens coating reduces flare and ghosting, a common problem with digital cameras and also creates an optimum colour balance.
Ideal for panoramic and scientific applications
This lens is ideal for photographers using computer stitching software which requires circular fisheye images to be input, resulting in stitched panoramas. Due to the quantifiable angle/area relationship it produces, this lens can be used for scientific applications such as solid angle measurements of cloud distribution over the sky, or vegetation distribution of the rain forest canopy.
Gelatin Filter Holder
A holder at the rear of the lens accepts gelatin filters.
